3 Ways to Stay Fashionable this Winter

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at U Mich chapter.

Making the trek across campus at the beginning of winter semester is one of the most un-fashionable things that we will do during our undergraduate experience at Michigan.  Sometimes, it’s hard not to feel like a marshmallow in our knee-length down jackets, fur-lined boots, and leggings and knit socks.  While we can’t get rid of the jackets altogether, we can add three essentials to our everyday wardrobe that will make us feel more glamorous while trudging through slush.

Give yourself weekly manicures.  You can never go wrong with a clear topcoat and sparkles.

Buy a statement bag large enough to carry your books.  You’ll carry the bag so often, the investment will be well worth it.

Accessorize your wrists with bangles and chain-link bracelets. Jewelry is also a great buy because there’s no such thing as getting too much wear out of it!

Investing in a few re-wearable winter accessories will make you feel more fashionable on campus this semester.
