You Should Be These Iconic Women for Halloween!

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at U Mass Amherst chapter.

This decade didn’t quite start on a preferable note, but it is still indeed the decade of the women around the world. So, lets start this Halloween by dressing up as badass women that rebelled against “norms of society” (a.k.a. the patriarchy). Are you still not sure what you want to be for Halloween? Here is some inspo from some of the most talented, celebrated women to ever exist.

RBG

This is one of my favorites, and I’ll definitely doing this for one of my three outfits. It’s a fairly simple costume. All you need is a lawyer’s gown, chunky glasses, and a beautiful collar! Also, don’t forget to put you hair in a low, side- partitioned, sleek bun. You can find the whole pack on Amazon.

Beyonce from “single ladies”

This has to be one Queen B’s most iconic look, and it’s so easy to put together. You’ll just need a black one-shoulder bodysuit and a pair of black heels. You’ll be ready to look as bold and beautiful as she does!

Mariah carry

You can wear this sequin butterfly top!

Recently we saw Olivia Rodrigo wear something very similar, and Blumarine even has them on their new line now. Mariah Carey wore this for her the VH1 Divas Live concert in 2000 with a pair of light blue denims. Amazon has a dozen of colors and designs for this top. All you have to do is pick the one that speaks the most to you!

Cher

Cher from clueless had been overdone, so let’s instead give the OG Cher some credit! Basically, anything that’s sparkly and filled with rhinestones and sequins is what you’re looking for. Make sure it also has the cool cutouts and slits.

Frida Kahlo

Frida Kahlo shouts poppy colors. A maxi with bright colors, a bold red lip, statement earrings, and a beautiful headband filled with roses on sleek space buns should do the job!

Lizzo

You’re just a white bodysuit, some silver chains, and a flute away from being the queen of carefree!

Whoever you choose to be, I promise these looks, will never disappoint you! Besides what better way is there to channel these OG queens?
