What Among Us Character You Are Based on Your Zodiac Sign

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at U Mass Amherst chapter.

If you haven’t heard of “Among Us” by now, where the heck have you been?! This video game has been taking over the internet for roughly a month now, and just about everyone you can think of has joined the bandwagon. There are countless outfits to dress your character in, as well as an endless amount of strategies you can use to lead your team to victory, but there are also a few types of players that everyone seems to know. Have you ever wondered, out of all the possible options, what kind of player you’re likely to be based off of your zodiac sign? Don’t worry, I’ve got you covered!

Aries

Since red is the color associated with Aries, that’s the character color you’d choose. You’d gravitate towards the horns since your sign is also symbolized by the ram. Because of your active and somewhat childlike nature, you’d wear the overalls (one of my personal favs since they’re comfortable enough to allow you to run from the imposters, yet also reflect your childlike side). You have a loyal dog by your side as a pet because it matches your energetic, assertive self. Your natural independence and leadership ability help you be a top-tier interrogator at all the meetings – I have a hunch that you’re that player that everyone agrees with and follows on their accusations. Basically, if you accuse someone, everyone immediately jumps on that bandwagon too, no questions asked. You are so powerful.

Taurus

As a Taurus, you’re someone who values comfort, which shows through in your costume of choice. I feel like you’d either choose this lazy-day outfit or one that’s extremely cute and well-matching, there’s no in between. You’d choose the green character since green is the color associated with your sign, and you’d choose the little green guy as your pet to match. You are extremely perseverant, and I’m confident that this trait leads you and your fellow crewmates to victory in nearly every game you play. In fact, not only are you a great addition to your group of crewmates, you’re the type of person to prefer it, simply because you like things to remain constant. I hear you, it’s definitely easier to play when your only worries are getting tasks done and sussing people out – no judgment from my end! (Even though I’d definitely rather play as Imposter.)

Gemini

I can’t pinpoint my exact reasoning for this one (aside from the fact that Geminis are associated with the color yellow), but something in me tells me that, as a Gemini, this is what your character would look like. You’d be torn between being the chaotic one and wearing the plague doctor mask with no pants on, yet also thinking that your character having a child would be really cute. It’s a sort of “chaotic good” moment, if you will. You’re hands-down one of the best imposters in the game, since your adaptability and flexibility allow you to assume the identity of “crewmate” when you’re really one of the imposters. Your wits and charisma allow you to talk your way out of any incriminating situation, ultimately getting you the win whenever you play.

Cancer

Right off the bat, I feel like your gentle, nurturing self isn’t incredibly successful at this game. On one end, your caring, protective self is probably great at watching over your pet, so that’s a plus! However, you strike me as someone who’s either just too passive of an imposter, letting the crew win by tasks, or too defensive as a crewmate, causing everyone to sus you and immediately vote you off. Not that anything’s wrong with that, you’re totally just vibing (*insert smiling, sunglasses-wearing emoji*). As for your outfit, I feel like you’d always look the cutest and most put together due to your contemplative nature. You probably spend the most time picking out the perfect outfit, maybe holding up your lobby once or twice – I get it, character customization is everything!

Leo

Leos are strong leaders and have a regal way about them, so naturally, you’d wear an outfit that reflects that, complete with a crown atop your head. Since the color orange is associated with Leos, you’d most likely gravitate towards that colored character. Because of your natural leadership ability, you’d be the one asking all the questions at every meeting, leading the discussion, and immediately sussing out the imposters. You’ve probably been on the winning side of every Among Us game you’ve ever played – I’m totally not jealous at all LOL.

Virgo

Virgos are known for being extremely practical and detail-oriented, which is why you’d choose a sensible astronaut costume to wear. Since Virgos are associated with different shades of brown and beige, you’d likely choose the brown character. Though you’d make a good crewmate because you’d get your tasks done ASAP, you’d get so wrapped up in your projects that you wouldn’t be paying attention to anyone acting sus. TBH, you’d probably die first just because you were trying to do your job. Personally, I’m a Virgo, and I’m known for being the “mom friend”, so if you’re like me, you’d also choose to carry two children around with you. Your username is probably the classic “mom/dad/parent of two”.

Libra

As a Libra, you’re known for being a bit indecisive. Though you see yourself as a peacemaker, as shown by your angelic and whimsical attire, your fellow crewmates, unfortunately, see your indecision as extremely sus, so you’re likely one of the first ones voted off nearly every round. Despite typically being in ghost form, your high intellectual and social abilities allow you to figure out who the imposters are without consulting dead chat. You’re able to add up the evidence and other players’ claims and successfully suss out the true imposters. Unfortunately, you’re probably already dead at this point. But hey, at least you have consolation in the fact that you have ~big brain energy~.

Scorpio

Scorpios are naturally perceptive and psychological, so you’d easily make the best imposter. You know how to talk in a way that’ll simultaneously clear your name and incriminate multiple other players, a skill most players can only dream of having. Scorpios are associated with darker colors, so you’d choose a darker skin and costume, and wear the horns for good measure. Despite a somewhat intimidating exterior, you’re also extremely loyal, which is why you’d have a smaller pet who prefers to be attached at your hip – the perfect balance of chaos and cuteness!

Sagittarius

As a Sagittarius, some of your defining traits are your enthusiasm and your love for adventure, marked by your ~artsy~ outfit choice. You love to laugh, joke, and have a good time no matter what you’re doing, which gives me the idea that you’re probably not super successful at this game. I’m guessing your blind faith in others tends to lead you down the wrong path when you’re a crewmate, whether that be by not sussing out an imposter (leading you to an untimely fate) or perhaps by not wanting to vote anyone out and accidentally helping the imposters win (AKA “third impostering”). I mean, there’s always that one friend who’s constantly the third imposter… I’m guessing that in your friend group it’s you.

Capricorn

Capricorns are known for being very practical, which is why you’d choose an outfit that allows you to get your tasks done comfortably. Though both purple and brown are associated with your sign, I have a feeling that you lean towards the purple character since, aesthetically speaking, you think it’s a bit nicer to look at. Because of your extreme resourcefulness, I’m betting that you absolutely dominate at this game, both as crewmate and as imposter (though deep down you wish you could just stick to one or the other since you value consistency in your life). You’re very disciplined and wise, which helps you suss out the imposter when crewmate and make insanely smart plays when imposter. At the end of the day, the switching of roles from crewmate to imposter (or vice versa) doesn’t bother you too much, because you know that whatever side you’re on is going to be the victor.

Aquarius

As an Aquarius, you’re known for being someone who doesn’t follow the crowd. This can be seen in your outfit of choice, as only those who truly believe in being completely authentic would be comfortable enough to flaunt a minion-esque fit, complete with a little stick figure as a pet (because seriously, I’ve never seen a single person choose that one). Your cleverness allows you to develop correct hunches about who the imposters are very early on in the game, and your stubbornness helps you stick to those hunches, rendering the imposters unable to sway your suspicions away from them, no matter how hard they try. These fixed beliefs of yours allow you to go with your gut and eject the imposters straight away, wasting no time in getting that sweet victory.

Pisces

Ah, the creative, artistic Pisces. You definitely have the most out-there costume, and I’m 100% here for it. By expressing yourself with your hair, matching dress, and whimsical unicorn as a pet, you definitely keep your IRL artsy vibes consistent with your character. However, you do strike me as the type of player to forget critical information, such as what tasks you did in a certain round, what color you saw hop in a vent, or maybe even what you were in the middle of doing right as a meeting was called. This constant lack of info on your end likely leads to your defeat in nearly every game you play. But hey, at the end of the day, the whimsical outfit is all that really matters, right?

Now that you know what kind of player the stars say you are, do what you will with that information. Perhaps you want to play a bit more aggressively to try and successfully suss someone out, or maybe you’re the opposite and need to reign it in a bit so you don’t get voted off first. Whatever your case may be, you now have the power of the stars on your side, so go out there and kick butt!
