Meet Marnie, the lovable Shih Tzu!

Little Marnie was found on the streets of Connecticut by Animal Control in 2012. Since then she has been adopted by a family who shares her day-to-day adventures via social media (Instagram, Vine, and Tumblr). She is way more popular than I will ever be. Marnie has been a guest on Fox News and has met more celebrities than I can name. I’m not bitter though because her fan club is well deserved.

She was found with Vestibular Syndrome, which causes a constant head tilt. Otherwise, it doesn’t affect her quality of life. As for her tongue, veterinarians explain that it hangs out simply because she has an unusually long tongue

Despite her seemingly rough edges, her story reminds us that saving dogs through rescue organizations is worthwhile. Although she was abandoned, she is now living a wonderful life with her adoptive family and online fan club.

We can only hope that she inspires more people to rescue, and thus change the lives of, dogs. Hopefully you’ll enjoy her just as much as her  536,898 Instagram followers. After all, what’s not to love about this adorable pup?
