Senior year is already halfway over. The last semester of college is finally here. Everyone always said it would be over before I knew it, and a part of me didn’t believe them, but a part of me didn’t want to. At 22 years old, school is pretty much all I’ve ever known – our entire lives have followed this same routine of classes and homework and summer vacation – and now, it’s all about to end.

These last few months will probably be full of fear, excitement, and everything in between.  And since there is no real way to make the time slow down, it is important to make the most of what time we do have left.

Here are some tips to make your last semester of college the best one yet!

Plan One Last Spring Break

This could be the last time you have a full week off at the same time as all your friends, so make the most of it. Go to the beach or to the city for a couple of days. Or if you’re looking to make a difference during your break, plan a volunteer trip with some of your closest friends. Whatever you decide to do, make sure it will be something you’ll remember. Try not to worry about money too much, because soon enough you’ll be working every day…

Embrace Your College…

Immerse yourself (for potentially the last time) in everything your college has to offer! Try to make it to as many sporting events, concerts, conferences, and career fairs as you can in this final semester of school. Colleges have so many different things to offer outside of classes, so do your best to get as much out of it as you can.

…And Your College Town

Any restaurants you haven’t tried? Now is the perfect time to try them all. Are there any areas you have yet to explore? Grab a few friends and check it out. College towns are filled with fun shops and cafes, so make a list of all the ones you want to check out before graduation and get going!

Finish Strong…But Don’t Stress Too Much

Classes can be stressful. But when you remember that it is just school – not your entire life – you’ll realize that it isn’t worth stressing over too much. I personally manage my time with a planner, scheduling out when I am going to complete certain assignments and applications. If planners don’t work for you, then try setting reminders on your phone or computer to stay organized. Getting all your work done is important, but make sure you save yourself plenty of time to do the things that make you happy as well!

Stay Every Weekend

If you’re like most college grads, you’ll be moving home after college. This means that you will probably be spending plenty of time at home wishing you could have one last weekend back in college… so don’t waste any of the time that you do have. Make the most of every weekend with your friends while you can, because home will still be there when this is all over.
