Fashion Forward: Top 5 Street Style Blogs

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at U Mass Amherst chapter.

Whenever I need some style inspiration I turn on my computer and look at (AKA stalk) my favorite street-style blogs. Vogue and InStyle may have some looks to imitate but it gets hard to imitate an outfit worth over $1,000. So where do I look instead? I look at real life Fashionistas who blog about their personal looks, which is way more affordable!

So here are my favorite Top 5 Street-Style Blogs:

1) Who What Wear

The blog, WhoWhatWear shows you street-styles along with how to find alternative pieces to imitate a celebrity’s outfit. This blog also has links of where to shop the latest trends. It’s basically like Target, one stop for so many things.

2) Free People

Not only can you shop on Free People but they also have a Free People Blog filled with fashion, music, beauty, and food. I personally love the inspirational quotes and fashion section. Free People is my absolute favorite brand so I love following this blog and seeing how people style my favorite pieces. They even have a section to see how other customers styled their favorite Free People pieces which helps me think of new ways to wear that same old slip that I want to wear like, everyday.

3) The Man Repeller

Not only does the Man Repeller have an awesome style but she has the most incredible sense of humor as well. The name of her blog has to do with her wearing clothing that “repel” men – a true fashion risk-taker over here. If you are looking for a daring style and a bold personality then this blog is for you.

4) Style Scrapbook

Another style blog, Style Scrapbook is a true street-style blog. After looking through her Lookbook, and numerous outfit posts, you start to question why you never thought of that outfit. Yes, your striped sweater mixed with your floral printed skirt do work.

5) Casey’s Collection

I stumbled upon Casey’s Collection one day and have been hooked ever since. Not only is her style on point but she also has a section called Casey’s Closet where you can actually purchase items from her very own closet. So if you become obsessed with an outfit, which I’m sure you will, you can purchase it for youself.

Check out these sites to inspire your inner fashionista! Good luck, collegiettes!
