Books to Add to Your ‘TBR’ Based on Your Zodiac Sign

Whether you’re an avid reader looking for your next book or trying to get back into the reading game, here are the books I think you should read based on your zodiac sign!

ARIES (March 21 – April 19)

You’re known for getting bored quickly and need something to keep you on the edge of your seat. Verity by Colleen Hoover is the perfect book for you. From the very second I opened this book, I could not put it down and read it in one sitting. The crazy twists and turns will keep you occupied until the very last page.

Taurus (April 20 – May 20)

You’re the homebody who doesn’t like change and needs a good comfort read. I think you would love Archer’s Voice by Mia Sheridan — a small-town, slow-burn, lakeside romance. This is a classic no-plot-twists, all-the-feels type of read. I mean, what else can you ask for?

Gemini (May 21 – June 21)

Although people think you’re just two-faced, you’re really a funny and talkative person. You should definitely add The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo by Taylor Jenkins Reid to your list of books to read. This book switches from two main characters, which gives two different stories (haha…get it) and goes all in on the life of Evelyn Hugo, a famous movie star.

cancer (June 22 – July 22)

Cancer, you’re known for taking on other people’s problems and forgiveness (but not forgetting). What better to read than It Ends With Us by Colleen Hoover? The main character of this book is the epitome of a Cancer. A classic people pleaser, helping everyone else but herself energy over here. (Trigger Warning: this book has topics of domestic violence so please read with discretion)

Leo (July 23 – august 22)

You have a big personality and want to stand out, there’s nothing wrong with that! If you’re looking for a book that deserves your attention, I would recommend The Summer I Turned Pretty by Jenny Han. A beach town, summer romance with a love triangle? Say less.

Virgo (august 23 – September 22)

Virgo, you can’t help but feel like your time can be better spent doing something other than reading for leisure. Book Lovers by Emily Henry is an amazing book to spend that time reading. The book is about, well, books! More specifically, a small-town, vacation romance between two publishers. AKA, a Virgo dream.

libra (September 23 – October 23)

You’re known for being indecisive, so picking a book to read can be hard! You also don’t love conflict — so we don’t need anything dramatic. The Bridgerton series by Julia Quinn is a perfect pick for you. Not only are these books dreamy, regency romances, but there are also eight of them! You don’t have to worry about what you should read next because you have plenty of books to get through.

Scorpio (October 24 – November 21)

You are great at reading emotions but hard for other people to read. Aside from the obvious title, November 9 by Colleen Hoover has all the Scorpio energy. This book has a major secret that isn’t revealed until the end in a shocking plot twist. This book gives all the angst, skipping from year to year, and the main character matches Scorpio traits.

Sagittarius (November 22 – December 21)

Sagittarius, you are the friend who is obsessed with self-improvement, independence, and a little emotional. People We Meet on Vacation by Emily Henry is an amazing friends-to-lovers romance with a fiery main character who is Sagittarius-level independent. She moved away from her hometown simply because she felt like it (I mean, how much more Sagittarius can you get). This book is a must-read for those emotional, hopeless romantics.

Capricorn (December 22 – January 19)

You definitely take a little time to warm up to new people and are very responsible. Things We Never Got Over by Lucy Score gives this same energy. It wouldn’t surprise me if the main characters were both Capricorns because, wow. This small-town, new beginnings romance is one of my favorite reads of 2023 so far and I definitely think Capricorns would love it.

Aquarius (January 20 – February 18)

You’re considered more of an outcast of the zodiac signs, and wouldn’t like the typical BookTok books that are circulating your For You Page. You need something different, or maybe lesser known. The House in the Pines by Ana Reyes is a psychological thriller that explores a female friendship. Not only is this a super interesting book, but get this: the author is a UMass alumna!

Pisces (February 19 – March 20)

Pisces, you’re the typical ‘sappy romance’ book lover of the zodiac. You love a good emotional read that gives you that ‘head in the clouds’ feeling. Love and Other Words by Christina Lauren is exactly what you need to add to your TBR. This book is a second chance, friends-to-lovers romance, and an overall *chef’s kiss*. So well written and brought me to tears!

Hopefully this list gives you some inspiration on new books to add to your shelf!
