Time to break out the fall fashion and trade in the lemonade for some apple cider, because fall is officially here. Summer may be my favorite season, but there’s an undeniable beauty during this time of year –the weather gets colder, the leaves turn golden, and the drinks get warmer. This year may look a little different, but that’s just all the more reason to make it the most memorable one yet. Here are some socially distant activities to try out this fall season!
Apple picking
A fall staple, apple picking is here to stay –with some mild changes. After you reserve a time slot and bag ahead of time, you’re all set to enjoy this socially distant fall classic. Don’t forget to grab some apple cider and doughnuts on your way out!
Go On a Foliage Drive
If there’s one thing you can always count on during fall in New England, it’s the views. Nothing beats the picturesque fall foliage, and we’re lucky to have it right in our backyards! Grab your car, bump some tunes, and hit the road. Maybe even go on a hike to truly bask in the New England beauty.
Go to a Drive-in Movie
Drive-in movies, also known as the greatest comeback story of all time. This year we’ve seen an increase in drive-in movie goers, and that comes as no surprise. It’s the perfect opportunity to get out of the house and do something exciting while social distancing. This fall hit up a double feature from the comfort of your own vehicle. What’s cozier than bundling up in the trunk of your car with some hot cocoa and watching a movie under the stars?
Put Up Halloween Decorations
I don’t know about you, but every Halloween a part of me regrets not putting in the effort to completely deck out my house with Halloween decorations. I’ve always admired houses that go all out for Halloween, and what better time to up my game than 2020? Time to stock up on decorations and pimp your crib this spooky season.
Bake Some Fall Goodies
At this point of the year, I fully expect everyone to be pro bakers, so this should be an easy task. One of the best parts of fall is all the flavors (We seriously can’t stop talking about Trader Joe’s maple oat milk). Whip out your cinnamon and pumpkin spice, and bake up some fresh fall goodies! Check out some recipes here.
I’ve already gotten a head start on some of these, and I can’t wait to keep checking them all off of my fall list! Images courtesy of the Her Campus Media Library
