It’s true, I am the epitome of a coffee addict because of this stressful and exhausting place we call college. What’s not to love about coffee though? It tastes wonderful, gives you energy, and has health benefits (if you don’t drown it in cream and sugar). Here in Orono you can get your coffee fix at Nest, Verve, Ampersand, Aroma Joes, Dunkin, Bear’s Den, and even the Oakes Room in Fogler. Getting coffee is the perfect casual place for a first date, but what you get when you order can tell a lot about yourself. Here’s what your coffee order says about you and your taste buds.
Iced Coffee
If you order iced coffee in the winter, you’re definitely a tough one. You aren’t afraid of your hand freezing off in the dead of winter while walking to class. But if you’re a warm weather iced coffee lover you’re practical and reliable.
Macchiato
As a macchiato person, you know your coffee and know how you like it. If the drink gets messed up, it’ll definitely ruin your day. You’re a little boujee for paying an extra $3 for this fancy drink, but recognize the good things in life.
Plain Hot Coffee
If you just like a plain hot coffee, you’re probably a simple and dependable person. You don’t need all the almond milk and syrups to get your caffeine fix. Don’t judge them for not being complicated like the rest of us.
Dirty Chai
A dirty chai lover is someone sweet with a nice side of sass. They always seem to have this kind facade and then end up surprising you, like that kick of espresso.
Cappuccino
A cappuccino person is few and far between. But if you are one, you dare to be different and take risks. You don’t let a little foam get in your way.
Rush
A Rush from Aroma’s is a typical UMaine student’s drink. A Rush person is in need of a boost, but probably doesn’t like coffee or has already had four cups earlier in the day. You’re all about convinced as you switch your drink from a library drink to a going out drink, no shame.
Seasonal Coffee
A seasonal coffee lover is easily excitable. Every time pumpkin spice or peppermint mocha comes back out, you can be caught yelling and running to your car asap to get a cup. You’re probably slightly basic, but own it and love it.
Now I could be completely wrong about you and your coffee order, there’s always exceptions. But no matter what your drink of choice is, we can all agree that caffeine is a necessity and that we probably need help with our addiction.
