As most people know, the Try Guys are a popular Youtube group that was created in 2014 at BuzzFeed, but they then proceeded to create their own channel in 2019. The Try Guys contained four group members; Keith Habersberger, Ned Fulmer, Zach Kornfeld and Eugene Lee Yang. They are known for their family-friendly and wholesome content, which usually spans each of the members’ interests. The Try Guys also have co-hosts called The Food Babies, where they sometimes eat leftovers or participate in eating competitions. The Food Babies consist of Alexandra Herring and YB Chang.

The internet has been in an uproar since Ned Fulmer confirmed cheating allegations on October 27th after photos of Alex Herring and him kissing in a New York City bar were leaked over Reddit. He released a statement on Instagram saying “Family should have always been my priority, but I lost focus and had a consensual workplace relationship. I’m sorry for any pain that my actions may have caused to the guys and the fans but most of all to Ariel. The only thing that matters right now is my marriage and my children, and that’s where I am going to focus my attention.”

After reading this statement, I was extremely shocked and could not believe that Ned cheated on his wife, Ariel Fulmer, because his entire brand was him loving his wife and kids. I personally believe that his apology is worthless because he knew that the relationship with his employee, Alex Herring, was extremely inappropriate. Alex has also been in a 10-year relationship with Will Thayer and they are engaged to be married in 2022. Nothing has been yet released about whether or not Will Thayer, Alex’s fiance, is planning to go through with the marriage. Would you forgive a cheating spouse?

Since the scandal broke out, Ned was let go from Try Guys and the Try Guys have unfollowed him on social media. As of right now, Alex is still working for the Try Guys, which is most likely due to legal issues that may occur if she was let go. Ned was in a position of power as Alex’s boss, which makes him the more responsible party. Alex could potentially state that the workplace relationship was not consensual and she was coerced, which can cause an extreme issue for the Try Guys.

On October 4th, Eugene, Keith and Zach released a Youtube video called “What Happened.” In the video, they stated that they were completely shocked when Ned confirmed the report and have since confirmed that the relationship has been going on for some time. They have been talking to lawyers and taking all the necessary steps. They have edited Ned out of some videos and removed him from merch releases. The Try Guys kept the video professional and concise, but you could clearly see the emotions they felt; Eugene looked angry, Zach looked like he was trying to keep himself from crying and Keith looked numb. A lot of fans have commented that they appreciate that the Try Guys have not covered up the issue and have been “real” about their feelings.

Although Ariel has removed “wife” from Instagram bio it seems that she is trying to mend their relationship. Since the scandal, Ariel and Ned have been spotted still wearing their wedding rings and have been spending time together outside their Los Angeles home. Do you think they could recover this relationship?

Personally in my opinion, I would never forgive my spouse for cheating on me. Ariel has been an amazing wife and has given Ned two beautiful boys. She has supported Ned in his transition from Buzzfeed and starting a new channel. She has helped the Try Guys by participating in multiple videos. Ned and Alex knew what they were doing and clearly were not thinking about how their actions could affect everyone. If they fell out of love with their spouses that’s fine, but going behind everyones back is immoral. I have been a Try Guys fan since they were at Buzzfeed and loved that their channel was not full of drama. I wish everyone that has been affected by their infidelity the best.
