Gifts for your BFF on a Budget

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at U Maine chapter.

The holiday season can be extremely stressful for college students, with packing for break, finals and saying goodbye it can be hard to fit in time for some holiday shopping. Here is are some ideas for the perfect gift to give your BFF.

A heated blanket: I don’t know a single girl who doesn’t love being covered in blankets and toasty warm during Maine’s cold winter nights. This one from Target is a great neutral color and under twenty-five dollars! A heated blanket is a must have and is an amazing affordable gift for your friend that is always cold!

A Yeti: I cannot recommend these enough, I bought my sister one and she loves it so much. They keep your drink cold (or hot!) for hours on end. They have a range of sizes and colors, perfect for everyone on your list, personally I love the 20 oz. seafoam one! Perfect for chilly days walking to class or those long hours in the library.

A Beauty Blender: This is a great gift if your friend loves makeup but has so many palettes you just don’t know what she wants. Beauty Blenders are under twenty dollars and can be washed are reused. They come in so many different sizes and colors including this black version of the original! These sponges are a cult classic for a reason and the makeup addict in your life will seriously appreciate you feeding her addiction.

Bath and Body Works Candles: Honestly you can never go wrong with a candle. The three-wick candles at BBW are every girls fav and there is such a great selection there is sure to be a sent that she will truly love. If you aren’t sure what scent she’d really love I would recommend this Mahogany Teakwood candle, it’s a fan favorite and perfect for the holiday season.

An Aroma Joes Gift Card: If you aren’t sure what to get someone this is perfect. Since 99% of all college students are addicted to coffee you bestie will probably be very grateful. You can get them in the store or online at their website. Coffee can be pretty pricy so having a prepaid card will take away the guilt of spending four dollars on a single cup.
