With all the controversy surrounding this season of The Bachelor, I have been feeling quite nostalgic. Pilot Pete’s journey thus far has been “one of the most dramatic seasons ever” as Chris Harrison loves to say. That being said, I decided to construct a list of other drama-filled seasons of The Bachelor.

After much thought and much deliberation with my other Bachelor obsessed friends, I have handcrafted a list of the 5 worst bachelors of all time. So here it is:

#5 – Arie Luyendyk Jr.

My problem with Arie started near the end of his season. If you don’t remember, he picked Becca, and they lived happily ever after… for about two months until Arie went running back to his second choice, Lauren. This controversial choice caused many to hate the formerly loved Bachelor and also got him banned from Becca’s home state of Minnesota.

#4 – Jason Mesnick

If you think what Arie did was bad, then let me remind you that Jason Mesnick did it first, except he broke up with his first choice on “After the Final Rose.” Not only did he break up with his first choice on LIVE TELEVISION but Jason then proceeded to ask out his second choice, Molly (way to really twist the knife there, Jason).

I guess you could say it was all for the best because Jason and Molly are now happily married with beautiful children, but just because Molly may forgive and forget, doesn’t mean I do!

#3 – Peter Weber

If Pilot Pete has proven one thing this season, it’s that he is not ready for marriage. This season, he has proven to be immature by rewarding drama and has allowed himself to be easily manipulated by his women (cough Victoria P. cough cough). We don’t know how Pete’s season will end, but looking at the women he has left, I doubt it will end well.

#2 – Nick Viall

Nick’s season wasn’t unusually controversial, but when Nick took on the role of the Bachelor it would mark his fourth stint on the franchise. Despite the fourth try, Nick STILL could not get it right, and he and his winner Vanessa only lasted a few short months. Fast forward a few years and Nick is still single and seemingly partying it up in L.A. at the ripe age of 39.

#1- Juan Pablo

Juan Pablo, we rooting for you, we all rooting for you. Juan Pablo was chosen to be the bachelor out of the immense popularity he gained from his time on The Bachelorette, despite getting very little screen time and being eliminated early on (how did that work out ABC?) After being flakey all season and ultimately not proposing or saying “I love you” to his chosen winner, it was clear this bachelor was here for a good time, not a long time.  I don’t think anyone will challenge that Juan Pablo takes the cake for being the absolute WORST bachelor of all time.

So there we have it, the worst bachelors of all time. Although these men may not be bad people, they certainly weren’t great Bachelors.
