“Driving while Intexticated” is the slogan for a Communication Methods class who is spreading the word in an emotional way about the effects of texting and driving. The students, myself included, of Comm. 3000Q have created a heart tugging Public Service Announcement to get the attention of not only UConn students and staff, but other teens as well. Texting and driving is becoming way too common, and its outcomes can be deadly. In attempt to raise awareness and decrease the number of teens and adults texting and driving, the class has created this video along with a website that allows others to share their story, and pledge to not text and drive.

This is such an important issue today, as the number of accidents and deaths due to texting and driving are growing. The Comm. class is in competition against alike classes at the University of Rhode Island to get the most video “views”, so please show your support for your fellow Huskies and spread the word about the dangers of texting and driving! The class is just a shy about 100 views from catching up with the URI class, so be sure to share this link with your family and friends.
