Adele says “Hello” to Fans with Release of New Single

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at U Conn chapter.

Adele is back after a four-year hiatus from the music industry.  On October 22, Adele revealed on Instagram that her new album, 25, will be released on November 20, 2015.  Before the release of the full album, Adele has released the first single, “Hello”.

According to her website, Adele calls this her “make-up record” as opposed to her last album which was more of a “break-up record”.  She says she’s, “making up with [herself].  Making up for lost time.  Making up for everything [she] ever did and never did.”

Adele looks absolutely stunning in her new video for “Hello” which depicts the singer reflecting upon an old relationship.  The soulful singer croons her apologies to a past lover in a raw and emotional ballad that pulls at the heartstrings of listeners everywhere.

With the album release date being a little under a month away, “Hello” has fans anxious for more.  People have welcomed her back with open arms putting the music video at 28,000+ likes within one hour of being released and 4.5 million views within the first 11 hours.

You can pre-order the album now on iTunes or place your order for a vinyl or CD copy from Amazon.

Welcome back Adele, we’ve missed you.
