If you haven’t heard about the streaming wars, Netflix and Hulu now have more then one another  to worry about. Disney has had plans to release a streaming platform since September of 2017, but its launch is almost here. Disney has released that they will be taking many of their classic TV shows and movies from these platforms and bringing them to their own platform. Disney released that on November 12th, their streaming platform which includes Disney, Pixar, Star Wars, Marvel and National Geographic will be available to the public. Some perks of the service includes thousands of movies and tv series and unlimited downloads whenever and wherever you want. The streaming platform costs $6.99 per month or $69.99 a year.

Of course, Disney+ will include some of the classic favorites like Hannah Montana and Lizzie McGuire, but Disney is making some new shows, as well as remaking some classics. Lizzie McGuire, as shown by Hilary Duff, is getting a reboot which she has posted on Instagram that filming has begun. Additionally, a High School Musical: The Musical series will be added as a Disney+ original. This is different from the Lizzie McGuire reboot because it will include a whole new cast.

At the initial launch of Disney+, hundreds of movies and television shows will be uploaded. From Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, to Descendants, to The Parent Trap, there will be tons of options for users. As time goes on, Disney will continue to add more shows and movies as most of them will be removed from Netflix and Hulu. Being the Disney loving girl that I am, I am lining up to see the launch of Disney+, and I will definitely purchase it. Many people are excited about the launch, some analysts said that Disney+ could have 13 million subscribers to the service in 2020.
