Mark it with a “B”: The NOLA Food Truck Roundup

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Tulane chapter.

Looking for the perfect nosh to fuel up on before delving into Fifty-Cent Night? Well, search no further because I’ve found the newest addition to your Tuesday night agenda—the NOLA Food Truck roundup. This casual collaboration of local food trucks has transformed from a one-time gig to a weekly neighborhood block party. Some of New Orleans’ most beloved mobile vendors, including Taceux Loceux, La Cocinita, and Empanada Intifada, will be stationed outside the Zeitgeist Multi-Disciplinary Arts Center serving up delicious signature fare. The event is held every Tuesday from 5:00-8:30 pm, with an ever-changing lineup of vendors. The revolving schedule allows hungry patrons to experience the wide variety of flavors offered by food trucks throughout the city. With the food truck movement increasing exponentially, this event allows budding chefs to showcase their culinary talent in a laidback and welcoming atmosphere. Additionally, if you didn’t think it possible for a food-focused event to get any better, then you’re in for a surprise. The Zeitgeist offers beer, wine and cocktails, enabling you to pregame the drunken revelry that will ensue shortly thereafter. When next Tuesday rolls around, forgo your usual dinner plans and head over to 1618 Oretha Castle Haley Boulevard to kickoff the night with food, friends, and fun!
