Meet Kim Eiger, VP of Fellowship for Alpha Phi Omega, Tulane’s Service Fraternity

Hometown: Saint Louis, Missouri

Year: Sophomore

Major: Sociology

What exactly is APO: A service fraternity that focuses on friendship, service, and leadership.

What is your position in APO and what does it entail: I am VP of Service, which includes planning all of the service events for the members. I organize make 2-3 events per week, set up drivers, and keep in close contact with organizations.

Why did you join APO in the first place: It seemed like a great way to get involved at Tulane.

What do you enjoy most about being in APO: Meeting new people at events.

What else are you involved in around campus: I’m a member of Kappa Alpha Theta, I work at the tutoring center, and I enjoy going to Chabab.

Where is your favorite place to eat in NOLA: If I’m paying, I love Dat Dog (5031 Freret Street). I’m my parents are paying, I go to Emeril’s Nola (800 Tchoupitoulas Street).

What is your favorite place to shop in NOLA: Armoire (4222 Magazine Street). They have super cute clothes that aren’t expensive!

What comes to mind when you think of Tulane: Home..It’s where all my friends are, and it’s an all around welcoming place.

If students are interested in joining APO, when is the next time they can do this: You can join at the beginning of next semester, but our technical rush is fall rush.
