Dorm life is a great opportunity to design a room exactly the way you want it. However, there is only so much you can do with plain brick walls and furniture that doesn’t move. This article will show you how to make a piece of wall art that reflects your amazing uniqueness! My roommate and I chose to quote Dobby from the Harry Potter series (RIP) but feel free to call on all your favorite well worn quotes in this DIY tutorial.

Supplies Needed:

  • Acrylic paint
  • Plain white canvas
  • Poster board letters

1. Either glue or tape down your poster board letters to the canvas.

2. Call on those kindergarten finger painting skills and spread the paint out evenly throughout the canvas. If getting your hands this dirty freaks you out, just use a normal paint brush.

3. After a few minutes, peel off the poster board letters. Voila! You have officially won pinterest!
