To say that high school and college homecomings are different would be the understatement of the year. In high school, homecoming revolved around a bunch of worries, like buying a dress, finding a date and then figuring out a group to go with. But, even at a university with lackluster school spirit, (to put it as euphemistically as possible) people weren’t able to worry about anything at all… especially not our crushing football loss. So, after a weekend of non-stop festivities, it’s time to return to late nights in Tisch because it’s midterm season! Joy. Alas, in the midst of study perils here are five little things to help keep your spirits up.

.) Scarves make the perfect accessory to fall outfits on blustery days

.) Hard candy: the solution to hunger in the midst of writing a paper

.) A candle from Orientation Week, a ring from my seventeenth birthday

.) Cute frames help make my dorm room feel more homey

.) Books with sentimental value (yes, even the AP Stylebook)
