The holiday season is over and with it, a lot of community service centered around the holidays is fading, too. But, good news! There is an upcoming opportunity to give back on Tufts campus, which can make you feel all sorts of good. And best of all, you can do a lot of good, too.

Every two seconds someone in the United States needs blood, and five million people receive blood every year. In effect, millions of people have their lives saved through the donation process by 9.5 million blood donors. The community blood supply for types O positive and A positive are at emergency level, while the supply for O negative and A negative are at a critical level. Therefore, it is incredibly important to donate blood at this crucial time.

The Leonard Carmichael Society is running a blood drive from January 30th to February 3rd in the Carmichael Lounge. Each day the drive will be open from 12 pm to 6 pm, except February 3rd, where it will be open from 11 am to 4 pm.  Please come to the lounge with a positive ID. You walk in or sign up on tuftslife.com.
