Fall Fashion Finds for $50 (or less!)

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Tufts chapter.

Making it through a whole semester on a Collegiette’s budget can be a challenge. ‘How do I make sure I look cute,’ we constantly find ourselves wondering, ‘without having to sacrifice the money I’ve put aside for mani/pedis and girls’ nights out?’ The answer: look for affordable finds! Even though the weather has been getting chillier, not everything from your summer wardrobe has to be thrown into storage. The most important thing to remember when completing your fall look is accessories. Accessories can be worn over and over again with different outfits, which makes them practical investments for the girl with limited funds. If you find a cute $50 top, that’s great… but what about a unique scarf for less than $50 that you could wear with five different outfits?! A top that’s already in the closet from summer just needs a blazer, faux fur vest (or real fur – your wallet is the only one judging you), or jacket to add the Autumn Stamp of Approval.

Faux Fur Look: Vest $34.95 (H&M)

Bright Accessory: Suede Gloves $24.95 (H&M)

Fall Essential: Double-Breasted Jacket $39.95 (H&M)

Kitted Sweater (notice the pop of red on the gloves and lips!): Dress $49.95 (H&M)

Funky Stand-Out Prints: Printed Pants $12.95 (H&M)

Faux Fur Look: Collection XIIX Mixed Faux Fur Muffler $48.00 (Nordstrom)

When shopping, remember: fall’s trends tend to be on the black, brown, beige, and – occasionally – white spectrums, so find things that can add a splash of color and brighten up even the darkest Boston day!
