7 Tips To Get You Through Football Season

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Tufts chapter.

Football Season is in full force now, and that means that so are our football-loving significant others and friends. Don’t get me wrong, it’s not that I don’t love football. I really do! But sometimes, I just don’t want to sit on a couch, eat chips, and watch men tackle each other with the hope of scoring touchdowns. Like many bloggers out there, I could sit here and explain the sport to you; but truth be told, I don’t think it would be very helpful. You either love it or you don’t, so I’d rather just help those of you who don’t love it get through it. Here are a couple of things that you can do to make this football season more bearable if football is not really your thing.

1.     Bake Some Football Cookies.

They’re yummy, easy to make, and you can still show the football lovers in your life that you care.

2.     Invite girlfriends over.

Chances are that they are on the same page as you, and you guys can keep each other entertained.

3.     Bring your iPad to the couch with your headphones, and read one of your favorite magazines while listening to your favorite songs.

The football watchers will love your company, and you can still enjoy doing something you love.

4.     Do some online shopping.

This way, you can enjoy time with the bros while still keeping up with the latest fashions. Even if you’re short on cash, you can save things to your shopping cart for later.

5.     Workout.

If you are at home and have no guests, just escape and get a nice workout.  Your lover won’t complain when he or she sees the results.

6.     Roster Stalk.

You may not be interested in the sport itself, but the players can be extremely good looking. You can glance at the roster online, and cheer on the cute ones.

7.     Go out to a bar for the game.

This way, you can eat yummy restaurant food, get the football lovers off the couch, and see people other than the players on the screen.
