5 Best Study Spots on Campus (Other Than Tisch)

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Tufts chapter.

There are more places around Tufts great for studying, other than Tisch and the Campus Center. If you find yourself wandering Tisch unable to find a seat, check out these five study spots on campus:

  1. Lilly Music Library

By now you’ve probably spent many long nights in Tisch and Ginn. If you want to mix up the library scene, check out the music library in the lower level of Granoff.

2. 7th floor Fletcher/Cabot

If you want to study while catching the best views of greater Boston, head over to the Fletcher school, hop on the elevator in the Hall of Flags, and head on up to the seventh floor. There are two classrooms and a comfortable seating area perfect for studying. This could also be a popular spot, given the beautiful views.

3. Olin classrooms/ top floor conference rooms

If you sneak in to Olin before the doors lock, there are lots of cozy classrooms to study in. The best places are the third floor conference rooms. Not only do these rooms have white boards and business-y tables, but also you can look out the giant windows at our beautiful academic quad.

4. Hidden cubicle in the stacks of Ginn

If you want to get some serious work done, join the fletcher students in Ginn by nestling yourself in a cubicle upstairs between the stacks. The presence of grad students will probably make you want to work a little harder.

5. Eaton classrooms

Once Tisch closes for the night at 1 AM and you’re still working out the final details of your final group project, the reading room is the last place you want to go.  Instead, you can walk right outside and up the stairs to Eaton Hall.  The building is open until 4 AM and you can use any of the classrooms.  Most rooms have chalkboards and ample seating space; perfect for late night group study sessions.
