What’s the first thing you do in the morning before you get out of bed? You probably open that weather app to see if you can wear your cute new jacket or if you can give those shorts one last run. When that first sixty, then fifty, degree morning hits you, the feels are overwhelming. So many emotions. Let’s see if we can read your mind.
1. It’s sweater weather!
Because we all know that fall is the best season for fashion. Time to get out that scarf you’ve been waiting to wear all summer.
2. Not moving. Ever.
Sorry, alarm. Beep as many times as you want, I am not getting out of bed. Way too cozy.
3. I’m wearing so many layers… why am I still cold?
The struggle of never having enough layers is too real. You’re freezing outdoors, and then you start sweating the second you step inside; you just can’t win. It’s a constant battle.
4. I’m sick.
Flu season, everybody. It always comes sooner than you think it will.
5. Psh, what’s a little cold weather anyway?
To be honest, I needed a break from the sweltering summer sun anyway. And who doesn’t love some good fall foliage?
6. Will I ever feel warmth again?
Who knows?
7. I want summer back.
Remember when you couldn’t stand the heat? Oh, to be back there again.
8. My face looks like a tomato.
When your nose and cheeks are perpetually pink…
9. ‘Tis the season…for hot chocolate.
Mmmm.
10. Maybe winter won’t be that bad this year!
But we all know the truth… it’s coming. And it’s going to be rough.
Yes, of course there is the impending doom of winter. But, for now, let’s enjoy everything that fall has to offer. Take some pictures of the changing leaves, wear those brand new sweaters, and indulge in pumpkin spice. Any other basic, fall-obsessed people out there?
