As a college student, your school bag is your everything. Not only does it carry schoolwork, supplies and other necessities needed but it is also an opportunity to display your personal style to everyone on campus. Now that we are a little over a month into the semester and I have settled into somewhat of a routine, I thought it would be fun to show what I carry in my everyday school bag as a junior nursing major.

School Bag

Before I reveal what’s inside my bag, we have to first discuss the bag itself. This semester I am carrying the CISE PBW bag in Cherry Blossom. The front of the bag has “PROTECT BLACK WOMEN” emblazoned across the front in large letters. The bag comes in multiple colors and sizes including versions that proclaim, “PROTECT BLACK PEOPLE,” a bold but necessary statement. Anyways go check out https://cise.store , a Black-Owned Los Angelos based brand.

Reusable Water Bottle

Next, I have a reusable water bottle which is an everyday essential. Mine is an old VS PINK x Swell bottle that just happened to match my CISE bag perfectly. And it says “Girls Run the World.” Alexa play Run the World by Beyonce ……

Perfume

I want to be the type of girl that leaves a trail of scent behind her, so it’s a no brainer to carry perfume in my bag for those midday touchups. My signature perfume is the Eilish Eau de Parfum by Billie Eilish. I keep the travel size in my school bag and at home I have the full size, which also serves as a décor piece because the bottle is that cute. This perfume is like a grown and sexy version of Warm Vanilla Sugar by Bath & Body Works that lasts much longer. It leaves me smelling like a sweet syrupy vanilla cookie all day, which I love!

Lip Product

Fun fact, if I could bring one thing on a deserted island with me it would be chapstick because I absolutely hate the feeling of dry and cracked lips. I’ve also been on a journey to find my perfect holy grail lip product. Currently I am using a lip oil from Amazon as my everyday lip product. Instead of an actual oil as the name suggests, this product is a nourishing lip gloss that lasts for hours on end and gives your lips a slight tint. And it’s a $5 dupe for the $40 Dior Lip Glow Oil. After finishing this tube, I am excited to try out the Laniege Lip Glowy Balm.

School Supplies

And last but not least I have something that is boring but necessary…. school supplies. In nursing school, we learn a lot of content in a very short amount of time, so I carry a big 5-subject notebook to write all of my notes in. Recently I have been trying to take more notes virtually, so my computer is also a non-negotiable. I have a Lenovo computer, but I’ve been considering buying a MacBook, an upgrade I may need to make to survive this busy semester. A planner is also a necessity to keep track of all my assignments, although recently I have been using my notes app to plan out my days more than my planner. Because I am still pretty reliant on taking physical notes, I also keep a pouch filled with my favorite BIC mechanical pencils.

With these essentials in your bag, you’ll be set for nothing but a successful semester!
