In the last few years, my passion for makeup has grown immensely. I used to be a simple girl who just used a random drugstore powder, concealer, and mascara. Not that there’s anything wrong with drugstore makeup, but I never really bothered looking at different brands and products.

Now, I consider myself to be a makeup guru (even though I’m really not). It has taken me some time to figure out my go-to products, but after years of trial and error, these are my favourite products that give me the best glowy and natural look.

L’Oréal Paris Telescopic Mascara

I’m starting strong with my favourite mascara for as long as I can remember. I discovered this mascara around five years ago when I saw a video of an influencer using it. I absolutely loved how voluminous her eyelashes looked and was determined to buy it.

You can purchase the L’Oréal Paris Telescopic Mascara ($14) at any local drugstore or on Amazon. This mascara perfectly balances a natural and heavier look, depending on the number of coats you put on. It’s not chunky and doesn’t leave your eyelashes looking like spiderwebs. It’s my all-time favourite product, and even though I’ve tried other ones, nothing will ever compare to this one.

MAC Cream Colour Base – Improper Copper

I love a sunkissed glow and natural makeup. This MAC Cream Colour Base ($37), specifically in the colour “Improper Copper,” is the perfect combination of a blush and a highlighter. I normally use it as a highlighter on top of my blush, but there are other ways to use it.

It gives you the perfect highlight look with a pop of colour. Most of the times I’ve received compliments is when I have this product on. Not to forget, it is a cream product which makes your face look dewy rather than matte.

Especially on the days when you don’t feel like using a lot of makeup, just a little bit of this product will make your face look more alive.

Milk Makeup Lip + Cheek Cream Blush Stick – Quickie – Berry

I am definitely a blush girl, and as I mentioned, I love looking sunkissed. I’ve tried a lot of blushes, both cream and powder, but nothing compares to the subtle glow and pigmentation of the Milk Cream Blush Stick ($33), specifically in the colour “Berry.”

In the packaging, the colour looks very dark, but it is the perfect shade for a berry look. I love the texture of the cream and how easily it blends with your skin. This is the perfect balance between a glowy and dewy makeup look.

Rare Beauty Liquid Touch Brightening Concealer

The perfect concealer for the perfect amount of coverage. The Rare Beauty Liquid Touch Brightening Concealer ($30) does a perfect job of covering your imperfections while still leaving you with a natural look.

What I most love about this concealer is the variety of shades it’s offered in. It was always hard for me to find the perfect shade for my skin. It’s also well-pigmented and stays on your skin for a long period of time.

e.l.f Halo Glow Liquid Filter

I never used foundation because I hate nothing more than feeling cakey. I heard about the hype of the e.l.f Cosmetics Halo Glow Liquid Filter ($18) and needed to give it a try. I am glad I did because I am obsessed!

For someone who likes a low coverage and glowy look, this is the perfect foundation to put under all your other makeup products. It’s very subtle but also does a good job of covering up any acne or scars. The consistency of it is very light and doesn’t make your makeup feel heavy.

Dior Lip Glow Oil – Berry

I love having juicy lips that make my whole face stand out. When I first purchased the Dior Lip Glow Oil ($54), specifically in the colour “Berry,” I thought it was very sticky. However, I have come up with the perfect lip combo, and I am obsessed with it.

First, I put on the Sephora Collection Lip Liner To Go ($8) in the colour “Deep Aubergine” and my go-to Aquaphor, which I carry everywhere. Then, put on the Dior Lip Oil and have the perfect lip colour and texture — it’s a must-try combo!
