Attitude. This one striking word completely describes Antoine Owens-Davis who is a senior at Temple. Fiercely striking physical features and a fiercely striking boat of confidence to match, Antoine commands the attention of any crowd. This is one of the reasons why he is such an effective president of Dynasty, a modeling troupe on campus. Antoine has leads the troupe to nothing but success, including their most recent Multicultural Fashion Show, which took place Wednesday February 9th. As Antoine strutted his delicious body down the runway, the entire room cheered and chanted as he melted the hearts of many in the crowd.
“Being a part of a multicultural fashion show meant so much to me,” explains Antoine. “Not just the fact of the fashion, but because NAACP and Dynasty were able to highlight the many cultures of the world as well as the cultures represented at Temple in general.
Being President is just one of Antoine’s many accomplishments. This is also his second consecutive year as a Resident Assistant at Temple Towers. He has developed many relationships with his staff and his residents and is capable of handing almost any situation. His go-getter mentality and I-don’t-give-a-shit-what-you-think-about-me attitude plays perfectly with the role he has established on campus. He is completely comfortable in his own skin, and that is one of the most attractive qualities about him. On the outside he may seem cocky, but his heart is made of pure gold.
“Believe it or not I actually hate describing my personality,” claims Antoine. “Many people probably won’t ever believe me when I say this but I am quite modest.”
Antoine came to Temple as transfer student during his sophomore year. He didn’t know too many people but he quickly obtained a following shortly after. With his magnetic personality and charmingly good looks, it’s almost impossible not to be drawn to him. As an advertising major, Antoine is quite comfortable with media attention and certainly knows how to work a crowd. He knows exactly what to do to leave his fans wanting more. You cannot walk down Liacouras walk without at least 20 people shouting his name or running up to hug him. He is just such a wonderful, talented, lovable, amiable human being, who works hard toward his goals and dreams. He is an inspiration to many and a revelation to the rest.
