My Ranking of the Zodiac Signs

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Temple chapter.

After scrolling through Facebook and collecting the birthdays of everyone I’ve ever known, I’ve made this definitive ranking of the zodiac sun signs from my own experience. Obviously, if your sun sign is at the bottom of this list it doesn’t automatically mean that you’re an awful person; this is just from people I’ve interacted with throughout the years.

1. Cancer– My 5 best friends are all cancers. They’re super supportive, friendly, and emotionally intelligent. I’ve yet to meet a cancer I haven’t liked, If you’re a cancer, please be my friend.

2. Taurus– Tauruses are super good listeners and extremely fun to be around. They’re all hilarious and they are very good at reading a room.

3. Scorpio– I might be a bit biased, but I love Scorpios. The stereotype that they’re all “mysterious” and “edgy” is so untrue and it’s great to meet fellow Scorpios who are annoyed by this stereotype. The only reason Scorpios aren’t higher is because I do have a bit of an individuality complex. Otherwise, they’re great.

4. Gemini– Geminis are so easy to have heart-to-hearts with, but sometimes I can only handle them in small doses. Plus the amount of problematic celebrities that are Geminis is hard to ignore, which does knock it down a few points.

5. Aries– Aries used to be number 11 on my list, but I’ve recently had a change of heart. Although they can be very overwhelming at times, it’s impossible to ignore the fact that they’re super loyal and fun to be around. I just get a bit anxious if I’m around them for too long.

6. Pisces– I don’t know many pisces, so I don’t really have strong feelings either way. I can definitely relate to how emotional they are, as I have a pisces moon, but similarly to Aries, I get a bit anxious if I’m around them for too long.

7. Aquarius– I don’t trust Aquarians. I have absolutely no reason to not trust them, but for some reason they all give me bad vibes. They’re all hiding something.

8. Sagittarius– Although I appreciate their enthusiasm about literally everything, I’ve yet to have a conversation with a Sagittarius where they didn’t talk over me. Calm down, Sags, I promise you’ll get your chance to speak eventually.

9. Libra– Libras always seem super trustworthy and kind at first, but get easily jealous and will manipulate you into thinking that it’s your fault that they’re being unreasonable. I will say, however, every Libra I’ve met is gorgeous. Despite how beautiful they all are, they’re all extremely insecure.

10. Capricorn– LOOSEN UP CAPS!!! Capricorns will do anything in their power to destroy everyone in their path when they’re after a goal. They’re all unintentionally hilarious, though, just don’t get in their way.

11. Leo– Leo’s world revolves around them and gets shocked when something doesn’t go their way. Having a conversation with a Leo is like watching a Youtube vlog: you’re being talked to instead of having a conversation with. They can be fun to party with, though.

12. Virgo– Despite having plenty of positive interactions with Virgos, they’ve all ended up emotionally scaring me. Virgos remind me of middle school: despite having some great moments, I’m still in therapy because of it.

Astrology is fun, but obviously take everything I said with a grain of salt. Sun signs are not telling of your entire personality and it’d be ignorant for me to say that every single Virgo is evil. Everything’s subjective, nothing is real, goodnight everyone.
