Get dewy, glowing skin with this K-beauty serum

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Temple chapter.

If you have shopped for skincare in the past few years, you’ve probably seen a growing amount of Korean Beauty products on the shelf– from drugstores to high-end retailers like Sephora. By now, we’ve all heard of the complex 10+ step Korean skincare routine, and most of us have likely sampled a K-beauty product or two. But, now that K-beauty has gone mainstream in the US, the wide variety of products, brands, and lines can be overwhelming and difficult to navigate, especially for skincare newbies.

As a product junkie and beauty industry pro, I’ve personally trained with and tried a ton of different Korean beauty brands with mixed outcomes– typically finding more success with expensive, prestige products. My skin is ultra picky, so experimenting with the super cute, affordable K-beauty offerings doesn’t always work out well for me.

So, when I tried SNP PREP’s Peptaronic Serum, I wasn’t necessarily expecting to fall in love.

But, boy, was I wrong! This lightweight, watery-gel textured serum had people commenting on how dewy my skin looked– even without makeup. No joke, I’ve tried serums 10 times more expensive, and never had so many compliments. Needless to say, it hasn’t taken long for Peptaronic to become an essential part of my daily routine. Plus, at only $20 for a 220ml, the serum is a certified beauty steal that will last for a while before needing to restock.

If you haven’t heard, SNP– which stands for Shining, Natural, Purity– is a Seoul-based skincare brand known for its clinical research, scientifically-proven ingredients, and pure formulations designed to promote healthy, youthful skin. Since 2008, SNP has grown into one of the most popular brands in Asia, featuring a range of vegan, cruelty-free products from sheet masks to supplements.

The PREP Peptaronic line is a relatively newer addition to the brand and features a toned-down, minimalistic approach to Korean skincare. Each Peptaronic product– in its light pink, glossier-esque packaging– is enriched with 5 layers of Hyaluronic Acid and 6 different peptides for balanced, hydrated, and smooth skin. As an esthetician, I consider hyaluronic acid to be a regime staple for every skin type, and the Peptaronic serum delivers a concentrated amount for maximum efficacy. The serum also contains niacinamide, which works to promote healthy skin barrier function and oil regulation. Also included in the Peptaronic collection is a moisturizing toner, revitalizing ampoule mask, hydrating moisturizer, and soothing finishing cream. Together, these products work to boost natural radiance for plump, dewy skin– no filter necessary!

Ready to glow? Head over to the brand’s website to snag your own Peptaronic serum, or revamp your routine with the entire collection
