Since we are still practicing social distancing, staying home and pampering yourself is a fun way to relax on a Sunday night.  In this article, I will share some of the things I do when I have a spa night.

  1. Put your phone on “Do Not Disturb” or silent so that you can truly relax and focus on yourself.

  2. Eat your favorite meal.  You can order food or cook if that is something you enjoy. Eating food that you love is always a good idea, especially if it is something you do not eat very often. This a special occasion.  It does not have to be healthy!

  3. After you eat, pick out a comfy outfit to wear while you lounge around your room.  Then, get ready to take a shower or a bath.

  4. In the shower, I usually wash my face, hair, and body like normal, before using any pampering products.

  5.  I love to use a body scrub and then a body butter after I dry off. The Tahitian Vanilla Bean Scrub from Tree Hut and The Body Shop Coconut Body Butter are my favorite products to incorporate into my routine.

  6. Next, I get dressed and put on a face mask. I love the sheet masks from the Sephora Collection and the liquid masks from Freeman Beauty.

  7. While I wait for the mask to dry, I usually look for a fun sitcom or  movie to watch for the rest of the evening.  I would also recommend enjoying some tasty snacks or a treat, such as pretzels or Ghirardelli chocolates, while you watch.

  8. Once the mask dries, I take it off and apply Cetaphil Pro Oil Control Moisturizer.  After I  finish watching my show, I will look at my phone and watch a few TikTok posts before going to sleep for the night.

Allowing yourself at least one night of pampering, every week, is an excellent way to reduce stress and it just may help to keep you grounded.  Remember, it does not have to be Valentine’s Day for you to show yourself some love.  We all work hard in school and deserve some time to ourselves.  Your at-home spa is waiting for you!

She is proud to intern at her favorite hometown television station and work alongside journalists she has admired since childhood. I'm a social media fanatic. Between my work as a rising senior public relations student at Temple University and my personal blog (living-with-love.com) hobby, you can always find me on my phone. I'm from a small town in Connecticut and spend my free time doing barre workouts, rewatching television series, and reading new books. I joined HC as my first organization at college, and I can't imagine ending my academic career leading anywhere else!
