A New Way of Snacking: Effin’ Good Snacks

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Temple chapter.

Tired of eating snacks late at night and feeling guilty? Trust me, you’re not alone.

As I laid in bed on a random afternoon scrolling through TikTok, I came across Effin’ Good Snacks, a startup cookie company.

I’m a health wellness addict and I love coming across healthier consumer options. Once I saw “healthy” branded on the word chocolate chip cookie, I knew I had to see what it was all about.

College student with late night cravings? Yes please.

Fast forward to Oct. 12 a brown, medium-sized package was sitting on my front doorstep. Impatiently, I brought the package inside, fully knowing what awaited me.

I open the brown package to reveal a purple box with Effin’ Good Snacks written on the front, and 12 mini-sized chocolate chip cookies greet me as dip my hand inside the bag for a bite.

Effin’ Good Snacks transformed the idea of late-night snacking into a whole new meaning for me.

Effin’ Good Snacks were created as a healthier alternative to the classic cookies that are filled with things like sugar and carbs.

The company’s mission was to revive the fun in our favorite childhood cookies, but with a twist of ingredients we as consumers would be satisfied with.

Here’s some of their health facts:

  1. Rather than the usual sugars and carbs, Effin’ Good Snacks incorporates almond butter which contain Tryptophan and Magnesium which could help promote better sleep. Tryptophan, an amino acid, helps make melatonin and serotonin. Magnesium is a nutrient that helps the body relax and reduce stress.
  1. There’s only 1 gram of sugar per serving of six cookies. Woah.
  1. Can you guess the number of net g carbs yet? Only 2g net carbs per serving, doesn’t get better than this honestly.

Chewiness? Check! Tasty? Check! Healthy? Check!

Addicting?

Yep.
