Making a Spectacle

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at TCU chapter.

The stars winked down on them

They danced under a million spotlights

Everyone watched as they made a spectacle of themselves

It wasn’t the fact that he looked at her adoringly

But the fact that she was the only woman he could look at

He didn’t mind all the eyes on her, he knew she was his

Love has a way of making people do strange things

She wasn’t his type, she wasn’t anyone’s type and yet she was everyone’s

The full moon illuminated the beach

The sand sparkled like small diamonds

She took every step with care

The calming rhythmic motion of the waves counted the beats to the music that played in

their heads.

He spun her around, her laughter echoed, igniting his heart.

She danced under the stars like they where her friends

She threw her arms in the air to reach up and touch them.

The wind kissed their faces

Stinging their skin raw, but the excitement was warming.

Her heart was gold but her spirit was his fire.

It burned him to the core. The love and emotions he felt just being around her lit up his

being.

She was his world and he wanted the moment under the stars to last.

He knew once the night was over the stars would never leave.

They would shine brightly in her eyes and he would remember them forever.
