It all started with The Ace Family back in 2016. Their popularity on YouTube soared when; the mother, Catherine Paiz McBroom, and father, Austin McBroom, shared their journey of becoming new parents. Viewers loved watching them play pranks on each other and engage with other YouTube influencers. That same year, they had their first daughter, Elle McBroom. She became an internet sensation on their YouTube channel. They continued to have two more children which caused chaos by having to run more content every day about their daily lives and provide an insider view of a real family, so they say.
Since 2016, there have been allegations that Austin McBroom has been cheating on his former partner. These allegations went all over the internet, platforms that the audience can witness and piece the puzzle like some detectives. TikTok users have been chanting that Austin was being unfaithful. Rape accusations against him began to crop up in 2019. Videos confirming the allegations were leaked on TikTok, Instagram, and even on YouTube and understandably, fans were not pleased with what they saw. Over a million viewers saw how disgusting these allegations were; some speculated it was all for entertainment and money.
By 2021, more lawsuits arose when McBroom was doing his big “Social Gloves boxing” event. They ended up losing their home after failing to pay their mortgage on time. The family tried to start fresh but sadly, that did not pan out. Not all influencers can handle the real world with their personal lives out in the open.
Come 2024, Austin and Catherine McBroom announced that they were filing for divorce. They posted a separate statement in Instagram stories on how the divorce is going to change their lives, especially their children.
The McBrooms are still co-parenting and remain on friendly terms, but now live separate lives due to this series of unfortunate events. Social media stayed extremely up-to-date on the whereabouts of the family. Every platform was blowing up over their latest movements.
But only some things went as planned. Recently, Austin was posting like he was falling apart, or even broken by what happened to his family. That is understandable, but posting on his Snapchat is a bit concerning. He dressed up as if he was poor, but everyone knew he had money. His brother called him out on it, asking why he was acting this way. Instead of facing reality, the allegations got the better of them as The Ace Family slowly lost their popularity and followership.
As for right now, The Ace Family hasn’t posted any videos since then, emphasizing their commitment to co-parenting their three children: Elle, Allaïa, and Steel. Well, divorce can be a difficult journey but it seems that both individuals have moved on and are trying to focus on their children with love and positivity.
