Don’t Worry Darling… Jason Sudeikis is doing just fine.

I’m a huge fan of the AppleTV+ show “Ted Lasso” and have been for the past year. The show starring the literal love of my life Jason Sudeikis is all about an American football coach who is in charge of coaching a British Soccer team.

The show premiered in 2020 and immediately became a huge success because of its positive storyline and loveable characters. In 2021, it swept the Emmy Awards with over 20 nominations, the most a comedy show has ever been nominated in its freshman year. At that year’s ceremony, it swept almost all of the comedy awards.

This past year it received 20 nominations again, the most out of any comedy series. The ceremony occurred on September 19, 2022, in LA. And once again “Ted Lasso” took the comedy category by storm.

Brett Goldstein who plays Roy Kent on the show won his 2nd Emmy. My being huge that I am of Brett, I could not hold myself together. His speech was naturally funny poking fun at the fact that just like his character Roy, he curses a lot.

Jason Sudeikis won again and my heart was so happy. This was the 2nd Emmy he earned for playing Ted Lasso. Although Jason was favored by many to win again, he was shocked by the win again. He said, “My mom loves award shows. I always bust people’s balls. They get up and say, ‘I didn’t have a chance.’ I didn’t.”

And It couldn’t have come at a better time. If anyone knows anything about the “Don’t Worry Darling” drama, Olivia Wilde is Jason’s ex-fiance of 9 years. Now, Olivia is dating Harry Styles and everyone has been suspicious of when her relationship with Jason ended and when her relationship with Harry started. Jason does not need to worry darling, he won big and is doing just fine.

At the end night, it was time for the big award, Outstanding Comedy Series. Going into the show the entire cast was not expecting to win the award for the 2nd season, after winning big last year. But, they beat all odds once again and won Outstanding Comedy Series for the 2nd time. As the cast and crew approached the stage they were overjoyed and appreciative of being honored once again by the Television Academy.

Jason Sudeikis once again took the stage to accept the award for the show and ended his speech with “See y’all in Season 3.” The cast is currently filming the third season in London and has been since March 2022. It feels like we have been waiting years for a new season considering the 2nd season ended almost a year ago now. Seeing the cast altogether, though, will hold me over until we finally get the highly anticipated third season.
