Five Bath & Body Works Scents You NEED this Fall

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at TCNJ chapter.

As the warm weather and sunny beach days begin to fade, fake pumpkins and Halloween candy start to line the shelves of every store we walk in to. With the holidays right around the corner, the only thing on my mind is the incredible new Fall scents that Bath and Body Works has to offer. Here is a rundown of five scents from Bath and Body Works that you absolutely need in your collection.

1. Coconut Macaroon

Coconut Macaroon is new to Bath and Body Works this year, and it definitely does not disappoint. According to BBW, the fragrances that make up this delicious candle are toasted coconut, fresh baked cookies, vanilla bean and a touch of spices. I ended up ordering this candle a second time after purchasing it in the store because I was worried they wouldn’t bring it back next year. If you love the smell of coconut and want that twist of Fall, this candle combines the smell of baking with the traditionally summery scent that we all know and love.

2. Bonfire bash

Bonfire Bash is new to Bath and Body Works this year, and comes in the form of a Shower Gel, Body Lotion, Body Cream and Fine Fragrance Mist. When I did my online seasonal shop, I made sure to try this one out. At the time that I ordered it, this fragrance was only available online which can be risky when you’re shopping for fragrances. However, I was pleasantly surprised by the sweet yet smoky blend of sandalwood, cashmere musk and vanilla bourbon. It takes the best parts of the Marshmallow Fireside candle and adds a warm twist to make it the perfect perfume. I highly recommend this fragrance for people who enjoy deeper, cologne-like scents and of course, marshmallow!

3. Cinnamon Spiced Vanilla

This is the second year (that I know of) that Cinnamon Spiced Vanilla has shown up on the shelves. I first discovered this scent a couple years ago during August, when it was so new that there were only a few on display. I absolutely fell in love with this scent from the second I smelled it due to its warm cinnamon roll fragrance. I was worried that this amazing candle would go unnoticed and wouldn’t come back, but much to my excitement it has made an appearance for the upcoming Fall season! Bath and Body Works describes this fragrance as a mixture of fresh ground cinnamon, sugar crystals, and Tahitian vanilla bean. As of right now, this fragrance is only available in candle form, but I would like to start a petition to make this into a bubble bath. Any vanilla scent enthusiasts like myself need to add this to their collection!

4. Sweet Cinnamon Pumpkin

When you first smell Sweet Cinnamon Pumpkin, don’t be thrown off by the extremely spicy smell. While spices are to be expected in a candle that combines warm cinnamon, fresh ground clove, brown sugar and vanilla cream, the smell of the candle itself can be overwhelming. However, when you burn this candle, the notes of vanilla cream and pumpkin really start to come out. I personally think that this candle would be great to burn at Thanksgiving or when there is a lot of baking going on. You can also enjoy this fragrance as a wallflower, hand soap, shower gel, room spray, fine fragrance mist, body cream, body lotion, body scrub, hand cream, fragrance melt and mini lotion. Needless to say, it’s easy for every person to find something they love!

5. Pumpkin Cupcake

The list wouldn’t be complete without a Fall classic like Pumpkin Cupcake. This fragrance is available as a hand soap, candle, wall flower, and even a car air freshener. Unfortunately it has not been made into a perfume or mist, and the only lotion available at the moment is a small hand cream. Bath and Body Works describes this scent as “A sweet autumn treat of whipped buttercream, pumpkin spice & vanilla cupcake.” Much like the rest of my list, this scent is great for people who love vanilla and marshmallow fragrances. It’s the perfect candle if you love Fall but don’t want an overwhelmingly spicy candle. I purchase this candle every year, and highly recommend incorporating it into your life!
