Ever heard of the freshman flu? Well it’s spreading rapidly through TAMU’s campus in the form of either covid or a nasty flu that has you throwing up for days. And freshmen aren’t the only ones affected. My friend, a senior, got a strand of the flu and lost 6 pounds! 6 pounds because he was throwing his guts up. And on top of that, covid is cycling through again! At least 5 people I know, either directly or through a friend, have gotten the covid. To say I am a little scared to get sick is an understatement.
But I’m pretty sure I can’t outrun this bug. Hopefully it won’t be as bad as when I got a strain of something my freshmen year (I’m not too sure what made me majorly sick for two days, but if I had to guess, it was covid).
So, as a precaution, I’ve already started prepping: I’ve bought soup, ordered a few masks off amazon, and started washing my hands religiously. (The CDC recommends washing your hands often to prevent the spread of germs). Hopefully it will stave off the disease, at least for a little bit (fingers crossed).
Well, wish me luck. And luck to you. May the freshman flu pass you over.
