Meet Campus Cutie, Matt Beyer!

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at TAMU chapter.

Hello ladies! I would like to introduce you to Matthew Beyer! Matt is a sophomore, management information systems major, with a heart of gold and the body of a football player (literally). He is super involved on campus and quite the popular kid! Matt is six feet and six inches of handsome, sweetness and ambition. He’s always ready to take on anything that comes his way!  Meet Matty!

HC TAMU: What made you choose to come to Texas A&M University?

Matt: A&M was not where I initially saw myself going. I was originally going to play football at the University of Oklahoma on a full athletic scholarship, but a career ending spinal injury my senior year caused me to lose my scholarship. I had to choose a different school; what eventually drew me to A&M was the traditions, academics, strong sense of family on campus, as well as the many opportunities to get involved.

HC TAMU: What is one major thing you hope to accomplish in your life?

Matt: I don’t have a specific goal that I wish to accomplish; I just want to live with happiness in mind. I don’t believe anything is worth giving up your happiness for. You can show me a “successful” person who makes 6 figures, but if they aren’t happy or enjoy doing what it is they do every day, then I would argue that they aren’t really successful.

HC TAMU: Describe yourself in one word.

Matt: HAPPY!!

HC TAMU: If you could take any person in the world on a date, who would it be and why?

Matt: That’s a tough one. I would probably take my mom out, because the older I get the harder it is to spend time with her. We both become increasingly busier and will only get further apart with time, so I will take every opportunity I can to spend time with her.

(Awhh, gotta love a man who loves his mama!)

HC TAMU: What do you look for in a girl?

Matt: Personality more than anything. I like a girl whom can hold her own in a conversation and is confident in herself. I also like a girl that gets along well with my friends and is accepting of them.

HC TAMU: What’s your favorite pick up line?

Matt: Hahaha I don’t think I’ve ever used a pick up line!

(Mhm, sureee!)

HC TAMU: Okay, now share something juicy or interesting about yourself!

Matt: Well, in high school before my football injury, I was a 4-star offensive tackle weighing in at 295 lbs. I now weigh 220 lbs and am in the best shape of my life.

(And ladies, he isn’t lying. Ya boy, Matty, looks GOOD!)
