Meet this week’s Campus Cutie, Avery Johnson Jr! Avery is a 19 year old freshman from Houston, TX. He is a guard on the Aggie Basketball team and a Sports Management major and has lived in five cities, loves falling asleep on the couch, and pancakes.
Her Campus: Why did you choose Texas A&M?
Avery Johnson Jr.: I chose A&M because of the Aggie network, a chance to play for Coach Kennedy, and the big time program of Texas A&M basketball. (They’re doing awesome this year as they have a 20-8 record and are currently 3rd in the SEC)
HC: Where do you see yourself in 10 years?
AJ: Probably doing a job that involves basketball so either on the coaching, management, or buisness side.
HC: What is your favorite vacation spot?
AJ: Atlantis resort in the Bahamas. Insane spot.
HC: Who is your celebrity crush?
AJ: Kendall Jenner
HC: What do you look for in a girl?
AJ: How well do I relate to her and if they are nice!!!
HC: Any pet peeves?
AJ: Dirty rooms!!
HC: What is your happiest/most memorable moment in life?
AJ: Senior year of high school at Plano West. It was the first time I had ever been to a public school.
HC: If you could have any superpower, what would it be and why?
AJ: Speed!! So I don’t have to leave in advance to get places since I’m always late.
HC: If you could live anywhere around the world, where would you live and why?
AJ: LA because I just love Cali and would love to live there on the beach.
HC: Favorite music artist?
AJ: Drake
HC: What are your hobbies outside of basketball?
AJ: Hanging out with the crew and watching Netflix
