Everybody has something that influences them. One may be influenced by experiences and hobbies. Influences are the reason why people are so different. Two people may be raised by the same parents but turn out two completely different people. 

My sister and I are similar but also very different. While we both like Pokemon and Disney, we are very different when it comes to other areas. While she likes K-pop and anime and used to watch YouTube like Tommyinnit, I like music like pop, country, and rock. I also like drama and fantasy shows, and I watch YouTube, like Lachlan and some British groups. 

We’ve also had different life experiences, and while we went to the same elementary, middle, and high schools, we have had completely different experiences. There is not going to be a person who is exactly the same as you, so why not embrace the nice, the funny, and the different?

So, what influences you? What are you going to embrace?

Maggie Twomey is the student government representative at the Her Campus at Tampa chapter. She mainly writes articles that cover entertainment and experiences. Outside of HerCampus, Maggie is a junior at the University of Tampa, majoring in Elementary Education. She has worked as a summer camp counselor in the past for grades third, fourth, and fifth and is currently interning at schools in the Tampa area.
