7 Tips to Get Your Life in Order This Year

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Syracuse chapter.

1. Utilize a good planner that works for you.

While some can get by with a simple planner that gives you a place to write down what you need to do and when but not much else, others prefer and find they really excel with a planner that has space for that and then some! The Happiness Planner, for example allows you to set goals, self-reflect and is loaded with positivity! We know some planners can be pretty expensive so the most important thing is that you find one that works for you and keeps you on the right track!

2. Set goals and use deadlines.

In order to reach any wholesome final outcome, you must set goals that lead you to your endpoint. When doing this make sure you also set deadlines to help you pace yourself and get everything done on time!

3. Be realistic with your goals.

Most of us have created that super long to-do list of all the things we “needed” to do in a not-s-generous amount of time, and most of us have also failed trying to complete them all. It’s important that you be realistic with yourself and your time when creating goals to assure that you are actually capable of completing them in the time you have available to you.

4. Have someone hold you accountable.

It may be hard to get things done when you are responsible for yourself and no one is over your shoulder making sure you do things. A good way to fix this is by telling a family member, a friend, or your roommate the goal you have set for yourself and have them hold you accountable if you don’t reach that goal.

5. Try to maintain a consistent schedule.

When your schedule is all over the place it can be hard to stay motivated and focus. With a consistent schedule for waking up, sleeping and everything in between you know exactly how much time you’re working with throughout your day and it’ll be that much more possible to get things done.

6. Keep your spaces clean and organized.

Keeping your house and room clean or your work area clean is super important because you’ll know where everything is and have more space to work and move around which results in significantly less stress and the ability to be prosperous!

7. Keep a positive attitude.

Of course there will be setbacks here and there but it’s important that no matter what you keep a positive attitude and working hard to get where you’re going!

Cheers for all the success your hearts can handle in 2017!
