Everything We Know About Kris Jenner’s Divorce

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Suffolk chapter.

It was the announcement that everybody saw coming, but nobody wanted to believe. After 22 years of marriage, Bruce and Kris Jenner have announced that they are officially separated.

On October 8th, Bruce and Kris confirmed that they were living apart and that they are “much happier” with their living status. The two have officially been living in separate homes since June; Kris in Calabasas, California, and Bruce in Malibu, California. Rumors have been reported for months that the two were having trouble with their marriage, but they were able to brush the rumors off. However, Kris has been photographed numerous times without her wedding ring in the past few weeks, while Bruce has been spending more time in his rented Malibu home that Kris decorated this past season on Keeping Up With the Kardashians. Sources have told TMZ that Kris was the one pushing for a separation.

Many have wondered how the separation announcement would affect taping for the hit show on E!, but Kardashian dolls need not fret. The separation is set to be one of the major plot lines in Season 9 of the show, and cameras will show Kris and Bruce’s problems like they’ve shown Khloe and Lamar’s.  Viewers will even see how and when Kris and Bruce break the news to their kids. It’s no surprise that the separation announcement will take place on camera, as Kris said, “The cameras were rolling as things were happening and that’s the way it goes around our house.”

The two do not plan on getting a divorce, saying that they will “continue to have love and respect for each other.” They both said that they want their family to remain the number one priority in their lives, so they will come together for family events to continue to support each other.
