A climate protestor from Extinction Rebellion stormed the runway of Louis Vuitton’s show at Paris Fashion Week to denounce the industry’s impact on the environment on behalf of French activist groups on Tuesday, October 5.
The woman was captured holding a banner that read “overconsumption = extinction,” with three climate activist groups mentioned at the bottom of the protester’s sign: the French chapters of Extinction Rebellion, Youth for Climate, and Friends of the Earth.
As she walked down the runway with the other model, security guards had removed her from the premise and escorted her out as the actual models in the show continued down the runway, not phased.
