Campus Style: Rope Braid Up-Do!

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Strath chapter.

Rope Braid Up-Do’s, are perfect for when you are running late to class and don’t fancy a boring old Pony Tail.

Firstly, you will need two things to do this simple quick and easy up-do;

  • A hairbrush; I am using my trusty tangle teezer!
  • Bobby pins.

To begin take some hair and pin it back into a small quiff, starting in the middle of your head and secure with bobby pins, see the first picture for help.

Then separate your fringe or a portion of your hair towards the front of head.

A rope braid is very simple to do, imagine you are French braiding your hair with only two strands. Take your separated fringe and pleat a robe braid on each side, pin it back at the base of your quiff and secure with bobby pins. And your done!

You can add a small hair clip if you want or you could even curl your hair beforehand for a more sophisticated and formal look!
