For my last ever Her Campus article, I thought it would be fitting to write about what I’m looking forward to following my graduation from Stonehill in May. Instead of focusing on the fact that I am graduating and will no longer be a college student at Stonehill, I thought it would be better to focus on the positives because I have a lot of exciting things to look forward to post-grad! So, here is a little life update and some things I am looking forward to post-grad…

Cape Week:

So, I know Cape Week is technically before graduation, but it’s still an exciting time to celebrate graduation with my best friends at Stonehill. I actually don’t think I’ve ever even been to Cape Cod (shocking, I know!) so I’m really looking forward to going to Cape Cod and spending time with my suitemates and my other friends at Stonehill before graduation. Now that we officially have a Cape house to rent for this week, I’m starting to get really excited! I think Cape Week is the perfect way to say farewell to my time as a Stonehill student, and I can’t wait to have fun on the Cape with some of my dearest friends.

Mother-Daughter Trip to Disney:

Now, THIS is something I’m really excited about! My mom and I planned a trip to Disney following my graduation and I am so excited. I can’t wait to go! We haven’t been to Disney since I was a child so I’m super excited for this trip with my mom. Especially since I am moving out of my childhood home after graduation, I think this is the perfect trip to take and spend some quality time with my mom before officially moving out. My mom is the Lorelai to my Rory so I’m really grateful that we will be able to go on this trip together. My mom is so excited that she’s already planning where we’re going to go to dinner each night while we’re there, so I’m sure it’ll be a good time!

Traveling Europe with My Best Friend:

This was a very unexpected post-grad plan. My hometown best friend, Rosa, was talking to me about how she wants to go to Italy for a month following graduation because a lot of her family lives in Italy. Somehow, I ended up getting involved in these plans, so now I get to go to Italy with my best friend for a month! We’re going to be staying with Rosa’s family so all we really have to worry about is paying for the flights, so this really seemed like an opportunity that I couldn’t pass up. I’ve always wanted to travel to Italy because I am Italian and I have family that lives in Italy, and now I get to go with my best friend! We might go to Greece also but we’re still planning out all of the details of the trip. I already downloaded Duolingo on my phone and have started to practice my Italian speaking skills.

Moving To the City:

Moving to Boston is something that I am super excited about, but also equally as stressed about. I’m still trying to find a full-time job in Boston after graduation, so I don’t know exactly where I should be looking for apartments yet in Boston, which is definitely stressing me out. Even though I don’t know my exact plans for moving to Boston yet, I’m super excited because I’ve always known I wanted to live in a city. I think Boston is the perfect place for me to live post-grad because it’s not too far from my hometown so if I wanted to go home for a weekend I easily could. Plus, Rosa and I are planning to move to Boston together so I’m super excited because even though Rosa and I are inseparable, we’ve never actually lived together. I can’t wait to move to the city with my best friend, and I’m so excited about what the future has in store.

Starting A New Chapter:

Although I am sad to say farewell to Stonehill and to no longer be a college student, I’m really excited for this next chapter of my life. As I’m interviewing for jobs and apartment hunting, I am equally as excited as I am stressed. I’m someone who always likes to have a plan, so all of this uncertainty is a little overwhelming, but I’m trying to look at the positive side of things and instead focus on how exciting all of this is. I’ve loved being a writer for Stonehill Her Campus over these past few years, but it’s time to start the next chapter of my life.
