If you would have told me that I would have experienced the things that I have in the past six months, I would have called you crazy. You don’t really see how your life can truly change in such a short amount of time until you experience it firsthand. Through all of the ups and downs of the past six months, I would have never thought that I would have come out on top and better than I was before. In the heat of the breakdowns, I thought it would never get through all the hardship around me. But, I am here to tell you (and myself) that you will get through it.

To the Girl I was 6 months ago,

Look how far you have come. Everyone and everything you thought you couldn’t live without, you’re living without now and doing it so well. All of the heartbreak, disappointments, and lack of confidence was just temporary pain that you turned into a beautiful discovery about yourself. All the things you had to learn the hard way are going to be lessons you will never forget that will help you more than you know in the future. All of the things you once were are now magnified because of the strength you picked up along the way.

Let me be the first to tell you how proud I am of you and your courage to walk away from things that no longer brought you happiness. The hardest part of finding what makes you look forward to waking up in the morning is walking away from what you once thought it was you needed in life to do so – and you did that. Yes, the rest of the journey was hard, but now look at you. You enjoy life, have amazing, genuine people supporting you, and you have found what you’ve been looking for – happiness.
