10 Things to do over Fall Break

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at St Vincent chapter.

Fall break is quickly approaching and there’s so much that you can do over break!  Check out these 10 things:

  1. Catch up on some homework.

No one wants to do homework when it’s supposed to be “break,” but sometimes you just have to catch up on the work that you’ve been procrastinating all semester.  Use the couple of days to do some work so that you’re not as stressed when you get back to campus.

  1. Sleep.

We all need sleep.  Use your break to catch some extra z’s.

  1. Fort Ligonier Days

If you live close to Ligonier, go to Fort Ligonier Days!  It’s a wonderful thing to do with friends and family and you won’t regret going.  This year, it runs from October 13-15.

  1. Sleep.

You can never have too much sleep….am I right?

  1. Visit friends.

Fall break is the perfect time to see your friends from home.  Break isn’t long, but go grab lunch and catch up with your friends.

  1. Sleep.

We all love sleep!! (Can you tell it’s really important?)

  1. Spend time with your family.

Don’t take your family for granted.  They’re excited for you to be home even if it’s just for a couple of days.  Have a family board game night, watch some movies, or even bake some cookies.  Either way, your family will love to see you!

  1. Sleep.

What’s more relaxing than sleep?

  1. Binge-watch Netflix.

Use your break to catch up on your favorite series or some movies that were just added!

  1. Sleep!!!

Get refreshed and be ready to finish the semester strong!

St Vincent '18

Hello there! I am the Campus Correspondent of the Her Campus chapter at Saint Vincent College. As a senior psychology major, I've made the most of my time in undergrad and am excited for all the doors I have opening ahead of me. I can definitely thank Her Campus for giving me invaluable skills. As a future psychologist, I hope that my articles (and the chapter's) are able to make you feel empowered, motivate you to start a conversation, and be kind. As a hero of mine has said, "If you do not take control over your time and your life, other people will gobble it up. If you don't prioritize yourself, you constantly start falling lower and lower on your list."- Michelle Obama. Be the change you want to see in the world, and smile. Always smile!
