5 Reasons to go to Java over the Weekend

5 REASONS TO GO TO JAVA ON THE WEEKEND

1.    It’s on campus

Why trek to the Tick Tock when you can just swing by the Java Barn to dance and rock out with your friends? Especially when it gets cold, Java will be your savior on a Friday night when there isn’t much going on and you don’t want to walk far.

2.    Meet new people

If you have never been to Java before, it’s a great way to experience a new social scene and make some new friends. Everyone is there to hear some good music, dance, and have a great time.

3.    Open venue

Java is a casual venue with its doors always open. You can go check out a band with your friends, and if you aren’t feeling the music that night you can easily walk out. The venue is also very intimate so you can really see the performers, even if you’re standing outside in the parking lot.

4.    Welcoming crowd

Everyone who works at Java loves what they do and they are always thrilled to see a new face. On top of having musical guests, Java also hosts a variety of events including Open Mic Night and SLU student bands.

5.    Live music

There is a certain thrill to experiencing live music and attending concerts. The Java Barn is open every weekend, and it is constantly hosting new musical artists set up by ACE (the Association of Campus Entertainment). It’s definitely a great way to mix up what can become a repetitive nightlife on campus.

Overall, Java is a fun time for all types of crazy cats and is a definite to-do on your SLU bucket list!
