Hey, fellow Johnnies! Do you get bored on the weekends or get tired of partying consistently? Well, look no further because I will be sharing a list of things you can do around Manhattan as a college student!

  1. The Beast Speedboat Ride

This speedboat ride is one of the most exhilarating and affordable sightseeing tours that you can do. Located right on West 42nd Street and 12th Ave, this ride gives you a 30-minute tour where you can see the Statue of Liberty and other landmarks up close! This ride is open six days a week (Tuesday through Sunday) from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. If you aren’t afraid to get wet, definitely stop here for a ride!

  1. The Metropolitan Museum of Art

Here at the Met, there are days when college students can enter free of charge. Yes, you read that right, free! Keep your wallet full and come on down to explore some art!

  1. The Chelsea Market

The Chelsea Market is a great place to travel to with friends. Not only can you purchase food here, but you can also shop and potentially witness a film production! This building contains various shops and businesses so you and your friends won’t get bored. Visit the Chelsea Market and try new foods while experiencing other cultures.

  1. The Central Park Zoo

Next up, we have the Central Park Zoo! If you’re looking for a place to unwind and chill, why not do it in the presence of beautiful pandas and leopards? The zoo’s business hours are 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., so animals can be fully seen in the daylight!

So, whenever you’re sitting in your dorm room contemplating what could possibly rid you of your boredom, come back to this list. It doesn’t matter if you do one, or all of these activities, you’re in Manhattan so you’re guaranteed to have fun!
