What events do you compete in?
I run the 200 through the 800 and multi events (the heptathlon).
What is your biggest accomplishment thus far?
I would say coming in third at the USA Junior Olympics for the 4×4.
How long have you been doing track?
I’ve been doing track since I was 10, so the summer before 5th grade.
Who is your biggest influence?
Sanya Richards-Ross because we run the same events and because she constantly proves herself over the test of time, even through injuries. I like how she’s very competitive and comes through when people doubt her. Sometimes, I feel doubted so I think we have the same fight and determination to do well.
Why did you choose St. John’s?
Mostly because it’s in New York and my dad liked the good academics. We also are beginning to have a good track team and we’re getting noticed for it. I decided to come to St. John’s because I knew I would be able to do track here.
What do you plan to do after you graduate?
I want to go to medical school or grad school. I also want to be in the Olympics one day.
