What are you involved with on campus?
I am staff photographer for Cabra, the first fashion magazine here at St. Edward’s.
What is your greatest accomplishment?
My greatest accomplishment was when I got a national award for my photography portfolio at the National Journalism Education Association convention in Washington, D.C. My portfolio scored an excellent and I was really proud of winning an award at a national level.
How long have you been taking pictures?
“I started getting into photography at 14 by taking pictures on my iPhone until I taught myself how to use my DSLR camera.
What is your favorite thing you’ve ever photographed?
I would probably say the moment I photographed the King and Queen winning at homecoming. You only have that one moment to capture their reaction and it can really be suspenseful.
Who is your favorite musical artist?
My favorite musical artist is The Neighborhood because I feel like they have a unique sound that is always evolving. Their lyrics are really relatable and I even incorporated some of their lyrics into my visual studies project last semester.
If you could photograph one professional event, what would it be and why?
I would want to photograph ACL because I share the same love with music that I do with photography and incorporating the two would be an incredible experience. Having the opportunity to capture photos of the artists giving it their all and people having the time of their lives would create some amazing photographs.
What is your favorite animal?
Well, it’s a tie between sloths and otters. Oh my God, they are both so adorable, just look at them! My mom even bought me a sloth onesie for Christmas.
Favorite place visited in Austin so far?
I can’t decide. I really enjoy going to the coffee shop Summer Moon and the store Uncommon Objects. I just recently went to the Barton Springs Green Belt to photograph and fell in love!
